Orange and black, Halloween is back!

You guys, I cant believe its Wednesday already! Seriously, it felt like just yesterday that it was Wednesday. Any ways, I have been super busy lately with midterms and exams and such, so I guess that could pose as a good excuse for not being up to par on my blog...right? maybe? ok maybe not ;)
This past weekend was oh so much fun! Saturday I got some major shopping done (im hoping to do a post as to what all i got!) and Sunday the gals and i got together to do some pumpkin carving and scary movie watching!
To follow along with the Holiday theme i wore Halloween colors, not to mention my cutie patootie accessories! (will picture them asap)
Knit Dress: Kohls winter 07 ($?)
Orange Cowl Neck: NY&C ($20 i think)
Black Tights: Target? ($5?)
Black Belt: Attached to a shirt i think...
Black 'Ugg' boots: Wet Seal last season ($20?)
Owl ring: Rue 21 ($8.50)
Spider stud earrings: Claires ($2 at 50% off!)

Yes, My friends, I am a true nerd!
While taking pictures in my backyard i was saddened by the lack of pretty colored leaves :/
While there is plenty of them to throw around, they are all just so ugly! The weather is still pretty uncooperative right now, which is very unfortunate. It feels more like September weather than nearly November weather! But hey, im still holding out for some nice weather, hopefully we wont be wearing flip flops on chistmas!

Also, i just want to say thanks to all of you lovely ladies who continue to comment on my blog in spite of my lack of writing. Thanks!

Wednesday Wants!

Has this week been going by pretty fast to you all? Or is it just me? I have been so busy with school lately as the end of our grading period is quickly approaching and im rushing to get all of my assignments done in time. Somehow though, i have managed to find enough time to browse the net enough to find some things that i am just dying to have!
The slouchy hat! I've seen so many girls wear these things and just look adorable in them, I myself was always a little skeptical as to if i could pull it off. Next time i see one thats as cute as this one from Forever 21 ($5.50) i might just have to pick one up for myself!

Isn't this coat just adorable! Ah! I have been searching for the perfect trench coat for the winter, but this year i wanted something different. Every other year i get either black or grey coats, just because they match almost every thing. This year i feel like stepping out of my box a little, i would definetly be stepping out the box in this Pink trench from Old Navy ($85.99).
Okay, for the last month I have been dying for a pair of rain boots! I just think that they are a great piece to have in your wardrobe, and in Florida you never know when you might get some unexpected showers! So why not look cute and trendy for the occasion?! These are Hunters off of ebay selling for $45 i believe, im a little skeptical of buying off of ebay though, do any of you participate in ebay buying? love it or hate it?

And finally, to match the rain theme, this gorgeous umbrella from Target (about $18 i think). This umbrella is just too cute with its bubble shape! Also, ive been seeing this particular umbrella making quite a few appearances on alot of you fashionista's pages!
Looking at this now, all of these pieces put together would be a cute outift!

Today i felt kind of frumpy all day, which i think shows in my expression. Oh well.

Tunic- Miley Cyrus for Wal-Mart ($12)

Jeans- Charlotte Russe ($30)

flats- Charlotte Russe ($16)

Black Headband- Charlotte Russe ($2.99 pack of five)

Hope you lovely ladies have an awesome rest of the week!

Apologies!

I can't believe i havent posted in about two weeks! I have just been so busy lately its been crazy! With keeping up with school and working so much, i have had my hands full! So im sorry for the lack of posting, hopefully ill just keep getting better at this. Surprisingly, nothing extra out of the ordinary has happened in the past two weeks. School, work, and repeat pretty much. Although, i did get a $20 tip at work one night last week! Which was such a blessing, and i am so thankful to the stranger.
I am pleased to inform you that we have had a cold front come in leaving Florida a deliciously chilly 60 degrees this past week! I have been cherrishing every second of it! We even got to tear out the Chik-Fil-A jackets at work!

So this morning when preparing for church and a day of fun with my co workers, i decided to drag out the boots!
Turtle Neck- Popayia ($? 2 years ago)
Button up Tunic- Target ($19.99)
Grey Tights- stole from mom
'ugg' boots- Wet Seal last season (not sure, no more than $20)
Bracelets- Right: American eagle $12 Left: stole from mom!

This evening some of the girls from work and I met up because the circus is in town! Yes, we really did go to the circus. It was a little silly considering we were probably the only ones there who didnt have children, but it was still fun and most of the girls had never even been!
However, one of my friends is deathly afraid of Clowns, needless to say, that wasnt the best place to face her fears! She even cried when one of them wouldnt leave her alone. It was quite comical, really.

(Cole Brothers Circus)

Friday evening one of my brothers was in town from Jacksonville for the weekend. I managed to get off work a little early so three of my brothers and i piled into the car and made our way out to the beach to go see the last showing of Paranormal Activity.

If you enjoy scary movies at all you NEED to go and see this movie! It was one of the best ive seen in a while. It wasnt quite as scary as some had lead me to believe, but it was still a pretty dagum good movie for such a low budget! Now I can handle scary movies very well, and i havent closed my eyes in a movie since i was 12 (i hate when people do that!), my brother Corry can as well. But my brothers Abel and Adam (15 and 22) are the sissiest boys i have ever seen when it comes to scary movies! So it was definitely fun watching them during this movie! Also, this movie was so funny for a scary movie! Seriously, the guy was cracking jokes the whole time!
So have you seen it yet? What did you think?

October Already!?

I need to keep this short because I just got home from work and i am beat, but hey theres nothing wrong with short n sweet!
So when i got home from school today the first thing i did was go grab my tripod and head to the backyard to get my outfit picture, again, it was nice outside so it was awesome to take my time getting the best shot. When i came inside to upload them to my laptop my mouse scrolled over the time and the date popped up: Thursday, October 1, 2009 I was stunned! Where has the time gone?! I'm so excited about it though, I love the holidays!
So this is what i wore to school today! Unfortunetly we have a dress code in PC, but you know us teenagers; always looking for a way around the rules! lol We're supposed to wear our school polos or club shirts, this was my FCS shirt though! So it was kinda dress code! lol

Jeans: AE ($39)
Military Jacket: stole from moms closet, Cato ($?)
Shirt: FCS shirt and AE cami
Shoes: Target...or maybe Wal-Mart? ($12)
Bracelet: local store ($4)
Earrings: Wet Seal ($.99!)

Speaking of school, I really get frusterated at the kids there sometimes.
Like today for instance, the whole day in class and at lunch I just took some time to notice some of my surroundings, so i just sat and listened. And i swear, almost every student talked about either getting F****d Up, doing drugs, or who they had sex with last weekend. Its not even like i was eavesdropping, they just talk about this so openly! It makes me so upset because, do we not have anything better to talk about? I mean really, can no one hold an intelectual conversation any more? Of all the things going on in the world right now, they choose to broadcast their lives to their friends and people beside them.

Okay, dont get me wrong. Im NOT perfect, I have done things that i am not proud of, we all have. No ones perfect, and every one has a past, and heck if you wanna do that stuff then cool, its your life do what you want. But why must we constantly brag about it? Do they realize how ignorant we look? Now i understand partially why audults have such bad views of teenagers of my generation.
*sighs* okay, now im done with my random ranting, which may have seemed off topic from fashion, but this is afterall, ALL things Kaydee...

But hey, tomorrows Friday! And i hope every one has a great one!

What A Stud!

I am very pleased to inform you that, indeed, the weather man was correct! For the past two days we have been experiencing upper 60's in the mornings and upper 70's to lower 80's in the afternoon with a slight breeze. It is heaven! And to make things even better, I have seemed to have fought off my cold! I'm still recovering but i feel much better and am no longer running fever! I think this glorious weather has something to do with it, it has put me in such a light and airy mood. And this afternoon as i was driving around with my windows rolled down, my sweater snugly buttoned, i decided that this is Taylor Swift weather. Meaning, roll down the windows and crank up the Taylor Swift, and that is exactly what I did! lol
So as my Fall weather is approaching, I have been thinking about my Fall Essentials List. The most recent of these being: the perfect studded belt!
Alright, so hearing studded clothing and accessories in a conversation two or three years ago probably would have made me cringe and think of pink hair, black lipstick, and a black school girl skirt matched with these boots.
NOT so fashion forward if you ask me!

But for me, my transformation in thinking of studs was thanks to a fashion diva named miss Carrie Bradshaw!

When this leading lady paired her studded belt with her green floral dress in the one of the opening scenes in Sex And The City The Movie it was just an introduction to all the other times we would see her in similar ensembles. I fell in love with the edgy look it brought to the normally girly outfit.

It seems to me that the 'stud look' has just been evolving on both the runway and streets ever since. Here are some more awesome studded looks that i am diggin' right now!

Well excuse me for saying so but do these black Steve Maddens selling for $275.95 not look exactly like these purple booties from Charlotte Russe selling for only $29.99?! Just sayin!

So, whats holding you back!? Theres nothing not to love about this look because even the girliest of girly girls can put an edge to an outfit, and the hard core chick can have a few extra studs to sharpen her look!
So what is your verdict? Love it or hate it? Do you have the perfect Carrie Bradshaw belt? Where did you get it from? I'm just dying to know!

A splash of color

Well, right now i am in bed feeling terrible and coming down with what seems to be the cold. And on top of that, its Monday! I went to school this morning and was only able to make it through three periods before i gave in and checked out. Isn't that just lovely?
What is it about Mondays? I really do dread them! It makes getting through school all the more painful knowing that it is only day one of five. Plus, once I finally do get to the weekend, i never seem to have enough time to accomplish all the things i set out to do. Ahh, to be young and in school...
On a lighter note, i was very pleased to see that at least a few people read my post and I even got some positive feedback! So, thanks so much for reading, it is really an encourager and i hope you continue to do so!
Also, there seems to be a cold front in my future according to the weatherman, which you can never hold accountable, but i am taking this information and running with it! He said it should be here mid week and we will be reaching temperatures in the mid 60's in the morning and upper 70's in the afternoon. This may seem warm to you, but believe me, 70 degrees is way better than 90!

So, this is what i wore yesterday to church and lunch. When i got home, i was feeling inspired so i decided to go take some fun pictures!

Cardi- Wal-Mart ($8)Pencil

Skirt- Target from Goodwill ($3.99!)

Belt- who knows?!

Shoes- Ross ($10.99)

Necklace- Charlotte ($8)

(the top is just a black leotard)
So i got these fabulous mustard colored shoes the other day at Ross for only $10.99! Lately Ive been trying to broaden my shoe collection because as of right now most of it contains flip flops, flats, black heels, and white strappy wedges. I don't know why, but whenever i go shoe shopping I'm automatically attracted to the neutral colored heels (mostly black)! I think its just because i know that i can pair it with so many other things, but I really want to branch out and start getting various different colors. Something Ive learned by reading these blogs is that not every thing has to match! I thought this outfit represents me branching out from matchy matchy outfits, although i would have preferred some yellow jewelry to bring it all together a little better, it thought it came together nicely.

Last night my friend Brittany and I decided to go to the outside mall on the beach to shop and watch a movie. Thanks to our awesome planning, we were only allotted an hour to shop, as the stores close at six on Sundays. After, we went to the beach to take a few pictures and from there to watch 'Love Happens' which, in my opinion, was NOT worth my $9.50!

Here's Brittany posing in front of a gorgeous Florida sunset last night. I think its funny that in Florida were still dressing in tank tops, skirts, and flip flops while in other states they are all bundled up in snow gear! Brittany is wearing an American Eagle Outfitters top that is currently on sale for $9 and a denim skirt from Target that she stole from me!

So what is the weather like where your at right now? Are you loving it or hating it?
